Deborah Delpopolo, owner and director of All That Jazz Dance Academy began studying dance at 2 years of age. She performed in charity shows, competitions and exhibitions starting at 3 years of age. She studied Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Modern and later Pointe, Hip-Hop and Graham Technique.

Miss Debby won numerous trophies and special judge’s awards during her competition career. She was the youngest in her studio to perform a solo at 5 years of age. Later, she performed with Mercer Dance Ensemble based in Mercer County Community College, while earning her Associates degree in Liberal Arts. She studied child development, abnormal psychology and the psychology of women.   She also studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Broadway Dance Center in NYC, and Steps On Broadway in NYC. At U of A she was privileged to have studied Tap with Lavaughn Robbinson, one of the originators of Tap. She also studied Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Brazilian dance and Graham Technique at U of A. At the Broadway Dance Center she studied Hip-Hop, and Jazz with Frank Hatchet.  At Steps she studied Tap with Janai Cutcher.

Some of Miss Debby's other performance experiences include Six Flags Great Adventure's 50's Show for 2 years and was dance captain for both years. Debby performed in "Annie Get Your Gun" at Washington Crossing’s Open Air Theatre and was Assistant Choreographer.  She taught and choreographed for Notre Dame High School’s dance program.

Debby taught at 4 local dance studios and 6 pre-schools in NJ and PA before opening All That Jazz. She began Lyrical and Hip-Hop programs at four local studios that did not offer these disciplines. She also taught Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Tap at the Princeton YWCA. Debby was a dance judge for McCorrstin High School’s GAA competition for 4 years.

The Academy’s competition team wins highest honors yearly, along with special judge’s awards and overall placements. No auditions are held as Miss Debby feels all dancers deserve the chance to shine and excel!  And they do.  Most recently, Miss Debby won "Top Choreographer Award" and a cash prize for her Hip-hop piece "Din Da Da" at National Dance Showcase Dance Competition.  All That Jazz won "Studio Spirit Award" at Sophisticated Productions Dance Competition and "Marvelous Memory Award" from the judges themselves.

When beginning her own school, Miss Debby envisioned a place that would uplift children and increase their self-esteem. She wanted to create a place that kids would look forward to coming to every day of the week. Finally, through hard work and passion, that is what happened. Most students take multiple classes, including the youngest dancers. Miss Debby was able to create an environment where children of all ages can not only learn and feel comfortable, but be proud of themselves. All That Jazz has performed in numerous charity shows including the Jerry Lewis Telethon at Katmandu. The student body has grown so much in the 10 years the school has been existence that the school  now has 2 dance studios. The building is over 2,000 square feet with a dance apparel shop inside. Miss Debby is extremely proud of her teachers, some of which have been dancing with her for as long as 12 years.  They are very dedicated and loyal, as well as unbelievably talented.  Thank you and.....

Congratulations on being accepted into the best school in Central Jersey!
